Single family house – Otopeni, Ilfov

This house is located in the most developed satellite town of Bucharest. The project focuses on emphasizing the built / unbuilt hierarchy, that is, the back courtyard becomes the main private area of the property as the built volume of the house develops along the street front, creating a visual boundary and therefore protecting the courtyard.

The design incorporates more or less successfully several ingredients of the upper middle class suburban “dream house” as required by the owners: pitched roof, arcades, spiral staircase, typical landscaping etc.
